Unerupted canine tooth: only 0.3 mm of bone
During a COHAT, an unerupted permanent canine tooth was found within the mandible of a dog. At its thinnest point, only about 0.3 mm of bone remained, requiring an especially controlled piezosurgical technique for extraction.

Fractured tooth and a hidden abscess in a Pomeranian
During a COHAT in a 5-year-old Pomeranian, dental radiographs revealed a periapical lesion near a fractured tooth and retained root fragments that were not visible on routine examination.

A young cat fractured three canine teeth after a fall: one root was extracted, and two teeth were saved with endodontic treatment and crown restoration.

Traumatic Malocclusion in a Maltipoo Puppy
Persistent deciduous canines displaced the lower permanent teeth inward, causing them to traumatize the hard palate mucosa. After the deciduous teeth were extracted, the canines' position was corrected with an orthodontic appliance.

Gingivectomy in a Maine Coon Kitten
A 9-month-old Maine Coon was found to have generalized gingival hyperplasia, tissue trauma on jaw closure, and periodontitis of four teeth. Treatment included COHAT, gingivectomy, and extraction of teeth with a poor prognosis.

Zirconia Crown on a Basenji's Canine Tooth
After a complicated fracture and endodontic treatment, the dog damaged the crown restoration again. A custom zirconia crown was made to protect the remaining canine tooth structure.

GTR + PRF: saving a cat's canine tooth
During COHAT, a 5-year-old cat was found to have periodontitis, tooth resorption, and differing prognoses for its two canine teeth. For the upper canine tooth with a localized bone defect, regenerative GTR + PRF treatment was used.

Restoring a canine tooth with an enamel defect
During a routine dental procedure, a dog was found to have a localized enamel defect clinically resembling hypoplasia. After comprehensive diagnostics, the canine tooth's contour was restored with restorative material.

COHAT: not just a teeth cleaning
The owner came in because of tartar buildup and bad breath, but full-mouth dental radiography and periodontal probing revealed a mobile tooth with stage IV periodontitis.

Fissure sealing in a dog
Despite daily brushing, plaque built up faster in the natural grooves of the upper fourth premolars. After COHAT, the fissures were sealed to make the surface easier to clean at home.

Ointments, gels, sprays or antibiotics do not remove the cause of most dental diseases and may only temporarily reduce some signs. The treatment approach is chosen after full diagnostics.
