From the first enquiry to treatment

We calmly and carefully review the situation, discuss possible treatment options, prepare your pet for anaesthesia, and plan the procedure.

Consultation with an owner during a veterinary dental examination

In-clinic consultation

During the consultation I meet your pet, take a detailed history, and ask about complaints, diet, previous treatment and health background.

During an awake examination without anaesthesia I assess:

  • teeth and visible damage;
  • gums and oral mucosa;
  • plaque and calculus;
  • occlusion;
  • tooth eruption in puppies and kittens;
  • signs of pain, inflammation or other pathology.

After the examination we discuss possible causes, a preliminary treatment plan and an approximate cost. You receive detailed recommendations on preparation and next steps.

Online consultation on Telegram

The online consultation takes place in Telegram in a written format. It is useful if you are in another city, want initial guidance, or need to prepare for upcoming treatment.

Before the consultation, please send:

  • clear photographs of the mouth;
  • short videos if they help show the problem;
  • a description of the complaints and when they started;
  • previous reports, tests and examination results when available.

I carefully review everything you send, take a history, ask follow-up questions and provide detailed written recommendations. I explain what may be happening, how urgently an in-person visit is needed, which tests to arrange, and how to prepare for a dental procedure.

Preparation for anaesthesia

Before planned dental treatment it is important to confirm that your pet’s body is ready for anaesthesia. Whether the consultation is in clinic or online, pre-operative preparation is still required.

  • complete blood count;
  • biochemistry blood panel;
  • echocardiography;
  • abdominal ultrasound.

These results help assess the patient’s overall condition, spot possible risks and prepare an individual plan for the procedure.

If there are concurrent conditions, the list of examinations may be expanded.
